Need to have an old garden pedestrian gate taken down and install another one ( timber gate). The bottom screw of the metal post that the gate was fixed on has come out of the brick wall and needs to be fixed onto the bricks again. Then install this timber gate which is the same size as the old one. 1meter by 1.48 meter. Install a simple lock on the timber gate too. Yes, I have the new gate already.

Hi there, We have just rendered and painted our external wall and had to remove our garden gate in the process. We have restored the gate and now want to reinstall. The brackets are very old so we may need to buy new hardware and a lockable latch. We are away and have Airbnb guests coming Sunday. We would love for you to go and look at the gate to see what hardware is needed, then go to Bunnings to purchase, the come back to install. We will of course pay for the required hardware. The current gate is closing a gap measuring 870mm wall to wall. The hinges are attached to a piece of 4x2 which narrows the gap to 810mm but leaves a gap at the bottom of the gate, big enough for the dog to get through. (see pics). The gate can be from 1500mm to 1600mm. The current gate is not sound and I'd like to replace it.
