Hi Taskers, In preparation for a new plaster walls and ceiling to be hung, I need an electrician to please: [1] Disconnect the 2 existing fluorescent lights and convert wiring to support AC socket style LED downlights. [2] Remove the conduit for 2 powerpoints (please see photos) so that the white ribbon cable can safely sit behind the new plaster walls. [3] Lower the powerpoints from 1200mm to 200mm. We had a few electric surges within 10 minutes and then smelled something melting, which seems to have been the main power switch (which can be seen in the photo next to the bottom screw on the left). It didn't turn the power off as it should have and we had to do it manually. Hi Taskers, I'm seeking an electrician to add some new downlights into a room. The task requires: 1. Change the existing light switch to a two-gang switch (provided). 2. Add one new downlight (provided) in the centre of the room (connected to switch 1). 3. Add two new downlights (provided) at the rear of the room (connected to existing downlights, switch 2). To install external power point on brick wall to power external blind and separate internal power point on plaster wall. Both locations are within 2 metres of pre-existing power switches. Double storey house. Certified electrician required with certificate of compliance provided after works completed. I’m flexible with regards to weekdays or weekends.
