Fault: Turning on my pendant light immediately causes a trip to the circuit, cutting off the power to the entire room Background: Recently I had to replace all MCBs with new RCBc in my house during installation of a solar battery. As soon as the pendant light is turned, it trips the light circuit. The solar electrician believes this is an internal wiring issue with the pendant as all other lights in the circuit work well. Expected Outcome: I am looking for someone to do re-wiring and testing of the pendant (with RCB) to ensure it doesn't trip the light circuit. Attached are some photos of the 5 Globe pendant.

I need the following floor lamp rewired as the light keeps switching on and off automatically. Seems like the connection is faulty after 4-5 years

I bought this lamp in America and it's been used almost every day for six years. I've changed the bulbs once, after one got damaged in a move. I discovered this may have been quite dangerous, and supposedly the key danger point would be the electronics in the dimmer. It’s a modern lamp (from ~2019), inline dimmer in the cord, the wiring runs ~150cm through the pole of the lamp, the top unscrews, and there's two 90-degree sockets (photos attached). From what I understand, the main thing is the inline foot dimmer has to go completely. It's a 120V part and it's been sitting on 240V, so I just want it out of the circuit entirely. I'm fine for the lamp to just be on/off - no dimming. Though if the cost of a new dimmer would be immaterial, then happy to have another one. I leave the dimmer with maximum light because it’s always been a bit dim (perhaps because of the voltage), but it could just be the bulbs I’ve used. The light quality is actually perfect at present. I reckon the plan would be something like this: cut off the whole existing cord and dimmer, open up the top where the two sockets are, and test the internal wire that runs up the pole to see if the insulation is still sound. If it is just hook up a new black Australian cord and plug at the base (please note the photo of where it exits the pole). If the insulation’s stuffed it may need a new wire. I don't think it needs new sockets, the bulbs currently in use are 220 volt and working fine. Please quote for job and parts.
