I would like to install 26 downlights, 3 kitchen pendant lights and 4 fans

I have a new light to replace the current one. I’m not sure of the process to replacing these. I also don’t have a ladder to get to the ceiling.

Hi, I am wondering if this is something you could help with. I recently moved into a new apartment in Willoughby and have found the lighting isn't quite sufficient, particularly in one area of the kitchen. It is noticeably darker than the rest of the space, which makes it difficult to see properly when preparing food or cleaning. The apartment is a new build with custom downlights. From memory, the existing downlights use a ceiling cutout of under 80 mm, which seems smaller than the more common 90 mm downlights. They also appear to have a relatively narrow beam angle, so while they look nice, they do not spread enough light for practical use. I am not sure what the best solution would be. I do not know whether there is enough ceiling space to add another downlight, whether the existing fitting could be replaced with something that has a wider beam, or whether another option such as track lighting would make more sense. I am also quite particular about aesthetics, so I would want any solution to look like it belongs and not appear out of place. Would you be happy to come by, have a look, and give me some advice on the best option before any work is done? Please let me know. Thanks!

I got 3 old down lights in the ceiling of my kitchen. One of them is not working. Want to get it replaced with new one. Also, if possible replace the other 2 as well.

It’s a single-storey standalone house in Mermaid Waters, with access through the ceiling/roof space as required. Scope: 1. Cut 4 x 90mm ceiling holes 2. Wire and install sockets/downlight points for 4 Philips Hue downlights 3. Remove existing ceiling fan 4. Install a LIFX SuperColour Ceiling Light Model: 38cm White Trim I already have the lights. Need someone who can supply any required electrical fittings, cable, sockets, connectors, etc, unless you prefer I buy them first. Because this is a kids bedroom, I need the room properly protected before work starts — bedding, flooring, etc — and fully cleaned up afterwards, including dust and debris from cutting the ceiling holes. Three kitchen downlights tied to the same switch are pulsing. They will need to be replaced with new ones and changed to individual transformer (as opposed to connected)… if that makes sense.

Hello, We are looking for a licensed NSW Electrician to attend our retail store, in Westfield Castle Towers, to inspect and secure a loose downlight. The Issue: One of the recessed ceiling downlights located directly above our main customer display table has come loose and is sagging out of its ceiling cutout. While the light still functions, it is partially detached. The Job: The task is to safely access and re-secure the downlight so it is flush with the ceiling. The scope of work includes: 1. Safely accessing the ceiling above our central display island (an appropriate ladder/steps will be required). 2. Inspecting the downlight and the surrounding plasterboard. 3. Re-securing the fitting into the ceiling (adjusting or replacing the spring clips, or reinforcing the plasterboard edge if it has deteriorated). 4. Testing the light to confirm it is secure, flush, and working correctly. Requirements: - MUST be a fully licensed and insured NSW Electrician. - You must have your own tools and a suitable ladder to work safely above our display table. - Ability to work cleanly and professionally in a retail environment.
