The Issue: A recessed LED downlight on our sales floor bulkhead flickered and has now completely died. As these are integrated LED fittings, the full downlight and driver unit needs to be replaced. The Job: The task is to supply and install a compatible replacement downlight. The scope of work includes: 1. Safely accessing the ceiling bulkhead (an appropriate ladder/steps will be required - Approximate ceiling height: 4 meters). 2. Removing the failed downlight and driver. 3. Supplying and installing a new, compatible white recessed LED downlight and driver (Warm White / 3000K to match the surrounding lighting). 4. Testing the new fitting to confirm it operates correctly. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply the replacement downlight and driver. The cost of these materials must be included in your final offer. Requirements: -- MUST be a fully licensed and insured SA Electrician. -- You must have your own tools and a suitable A-frame ladder. -- Public liability insurance is required. Need 13 down lights done, the holes are there and the connecting wires, just need the down lights connected.

I was replacing a ceiling pendant and the existing fixing has come loose. The plasterboard around the fixing is now quite damaged/crumbly after previous owners have drilled too many holes. I’m looking for a licensed electrician to assess the ceiling and either: * reinforce the existing ceiling fixing so the pendant can be safely installed, or * preferably, quote to remove the pendant and install 2 LED downlights nearby, using the existing light circuit if possible. I’d also like the existing damaged ceiling area made safe/left ready for patching. Please quote for the electrical work and let me know if you think 2 downlights would be the better option given the damaged fixing.

We have a couple of downlights that are causing some issues... One is above the stair well (photo attached) and will need a ladder, the other (and possibly one other) needs a camera up in the cavity to find the power outlet... We live in an apartment with a thin ceiling cavity so you can't really stick your head up there... These downlights have a transformer that connects to a power outlet but we are removing those transformers and using the all in one LED downlights... These two I can't replace due to lack of ladder and camera to see up there. I will supply the downlights. Just need a licensed electrician.

Supplying and installing a new, like-for-like replacement downlight fitting if the existing one is faulty. 4. Testing the light thoroughly to confirm the flickering is resolved and the dimmer function (if applicable) is operating correctly.
