What does a computer service include?
The exact steps and inclusions in your computer service will depend on the computer and IT challenges you’re facing. In most cases, computer technicians are mobile so they can come to your home or office. They’ll work on your computer until issues are fixed and you’ve got the help you need. Here are just a few IT and computer services your technician can help with:
Computer & network setup
Book an IT service near you to come to your home or office and setup your personal computer, home network, or more complicated workplace IT environment. Ask your computer technician to help with hardware setup, which covers tasks like computer and Mac setup, printer help, and scanner setup. They can also work to install and upgrade software. Knowing that your Windows install or server upgrades have been carried out by an experienced computer technician ensures your systems runs smoothly.
Computer repair
Got a computer problem like a slow machine or your computer not turning on? Computer repair technicians are experienced at fixing common complaints like these. Your computer technician will start by diagnosing the problem. Once they know what they’re dealing with, they’ll fix it right away or advise you on next steps, whether you need new parts, updated software, or a more intensive service off-site. Depending on the issue, your technician may be able to offer technical support over the phone or Skype so you can get your computer fixed sooner.
Computer training & troubleshooting
Confused by computers? You’re not alone. If you want to improve your Microsoft, Google, Skype, or email skills, book a computer training session. You’ll find plenty of friendly, patient and helpful computer technicians nearby. Let them know what programmes or internet skills you want to learn and they’ll walk you through the steps or troubleshoot the challenges you’re facing. Arrange a one-to-one lesson or book a small-class IT session for your friends and colleagues.
Internet & wifi help
When your internet and wifi stop working, your world can come to a standstill. Your computer technician will whip your connections into line so it’s business as usual. Internet help can range from connecting your devices and troubleshooting connection issues to improving internet speeds and wifi extender setup.
Cyber security & antivirus
Keep your computer and IT environment safe and secure from hackers and viruses. Book a computer technician to help with firewall setup and installing antivirus software. If you get hit with malware or a virus, your technician will take virus removal steps, fix any damage caused, and ensure your device is protected from future attacks.

Fix very noisy cooling fan; laptop MSI GF65 9SD
$200
Newmarket QLD 4051, Australia
24th Aug 2026
My MSI GF65 Thin laptop has suddenly developed a very loud constant mechanical/buzzing noise from the cooling fan area. The noise seems to come from the upper-right/rear area of the laptop. If I lightly press on the case above that area, the noise becomes noticeably quieter, so I suspect a cooling fan, fan bearing, mounting, or something touching/vibrating against the fan. I’m looking for someone experienced with gaming laptop repairs who can: Open and inspect the laptop Identify which fan/component is causing the noise Clean and reseat/tighten the fan if that solves it Replace the faulty fan if necessary Check that both fans are operating correctly afterwards Please bring the necessary tools. If a replacement fan is required, please let me know the cost before purchasing/replacing it.

Internal NBN Box Relocation
$300
Balmoral QLD 4171, Australia
16th Aug 2026
I've severed the fibre optic cable leading to my internal NBN box. The cable sever is very close to the internal NBN box. The external NBN box is at the front of my house and the cable runs inside a conduit along the exterior of the house, approx 15 metres. I need the optic fibre replaced so the internet is operational, however I'd prefer the NBN box be relocated at the same time, closed to the front of the house. I can prep all the conduit and hole to the inside of the house, all I need is the fibre run and terminated.

Network Debugging
$400
Milton QLD, Australia
11th Aug 2026
Must have Networking degree or certifications on enterprise grade LAN networks. The current router is Aruba with TPLink APs that are unable to add new users. The network is also connected to printers, VPN config etc. so DDNS config experience is must to ensure existing infra is not broken. We need to check why new users are unable to join the network and resolve the issue. You should have your own equipment to connect with router/ switch or modem.
Punctual, has knowledge and experience. Would recommend.

Replace my PC AIO Pump failure
$200
Lutwyche QLD, Australia
18th Jul 2026
My computer liquid cooler has failed I think, and the PC will no longer boot up past the fail screen, forcing it to go into the setup screen when I press F1. I think it is trying to protect the motherboard from overheating which makes sense. The fans are all spinning, but last night the ones at the front were spinning at 1000rpm, leading me to think it's pushing the front fan into overdrive to compensate for the AIO not working. The AIO liquid cooler showed no activity in the F1 boot up screen leading me to think it has failed and needs to be replaced. Job is for someone to come out this Saturday with the correct or better quality part, and replace the damaged part or remove the liquid cooling system, and install a noctua nh-d15 or similar quality fan cooler. My PC knowledge isn't super extensive but that's the recommendation I was given from our IT guys at work. current specs are: -Intel Core i7 7700K processor -Corsair Hydro Series H100i Liquid CPU Cooler -ASUS Prime Z270-A Motherboard -MSI RTX GeForce 3060 Gaming X 12GB -16GB Corsair Vengeance memory -Intel 600P Series 256GB M.2 SSD -Seagate 7200RPM 2TB hard drive -Phanteks Eclipse P400S Tempered Glass Glacier White -Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 600W Power Supply Note: quote to include provided parts.
They did an amazing job! Thank you so much!!

Mac Mini M4 Setup + Remote Access via Software Install (Brisbane
$100
Newstead QLD, Australia
2nd Apr 2026
I need someone to come to my home in Brisbane to set up a brand new Mac Mini M4 from scratch. The Mac Mini is plugged in and ready to go but I don't have a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect a keyboard and mouse (the M4 has no USB-A ports). You will need to bring your own USB-C keyboard and mouse, or a USB-C hub/adapter. Here is exactly what needs to be done: Complete the initial Mac Mini setup wizard (language, region, wifi, computer name, password) Download and install RustDesk remote access software from github.com/rustdesk/rustdesk/releases/tag/1.4.6 - specifically the aarch64.dmg version for M4 Configure RustDesk with a password and provide me with the 9-digit ID and password so my developer can connect remotely going forward The Mac Mini needs to be named "BossMoney-Server" during setup Please only apply if you are comfortable with Mac setup and have your own equipment. Brisbane southside preferred.
