Find a reliable computer and IT professional in North Brisbane

We need an experienced Linux / networking engineer in Brisbane to recover and configure an existing Ubuntu ML server. The server is physically accessible, but we currently have no login credentials and no remote access. You are welcome to take the server away to work on it offsite, then return it once configured. Scope: * Safely regain administrative access to Ubuntu and reset the local password if required. * Preserve the existing server installation, data and ML environment. * Check networking, SSH and firewall configuration. * Review and back up the existing Headscale configuration. * Update Headscale to a current supported version. * Reconnect the server to our existing Headscale/Tailscale private network. * Establish reliable remote administrative access. * Return/reconnect the server and configure our router as required. * Check routing, NAT, DNS and firewall settings. * Test connectivity and confirm the setup survives restarts. * Provide brief notes on changes made. Please do not reinstall, reformat or rebuild the server without discussing it with us first. If disk encryption or another issue prevents safe access recovery, stop and advise before making destructive changes. Experience required: Ubuntu/Linux server administration, GRUB/password recovery, Headscale/Tailscale, WireGuard, SSH, routing, DNS, NAT, firewalls and router configuration. This is not a general PC support task. We need someone comfortable diagnosing and recovering an existing Linux server.

We are an audio-visual installation company that is looking for someone who can facilitate the removal of a piece of hardware from an audio-visual rack at a hotel. We need someone who can facilitate the removal of a Q-SYS core, which is a simple job of unscrewing the unit from an audio-visual rack in the AV room of a hotel and then delivering it to the repair centre where it can be assessed. You would need to have only a very basic understanding of audio visual to help, and we are able to talk you through the removal of the unit before delivering to another part of Brisbane for the assessment and repair.

I'm looking for an experienced IT/networking person to help improve the Wi-Fi coverage in my home. I work from home full-time and regularly use Zoom for telehealth appointments. Unfortunately, there are a few "dead spots" throughout the house where the Wi-Fi signal drops out, and I often have to hotspot from my phone to maintain a stable connection. I'm looking for someone who can: - Assess my current Wi-Fi setup - Identify why there are dead zones - Recommend and, if needed, install the best solution - Ensure I have a strong, reliable connection throughout the house Please let me know about your experience with home networking and what you think the likely solution might be. Thanks!

We recently switched our internet provider and since then our security system (Dahua) went offline. The NVR needs to be updated with the new wifi network. It's an easy task, should not take long. Thanks.
