I'd like someone to repair a timber staircase where the stringer rotted where it joined its post (see photo). Open to ideas about the best way to repair it - perhaps even add a new stirrup/post to support the stringer? Seems like just the very bottom of the stringer and the very bottom of the post are rotted. In the same Queenslander house, there are 3 doors and 4 cupboard doors that get a little stuck, which I'd like fixed too. I have a 70's style kitchen bench 1.5m long. It is higher at the back and then some ceasar stone is put on that as a little top. I want to cut this off and then use the ceasor stone to join with the regular bench that is there. I know there will be a small gap. thanks Megan
