Hi there, I need a local handyman to carefully remove one single piece of timber skirting board located inside my kitchen's refrigerator alcove. This is a rental property, so it is critical that the board is removed cleanly in one piece without cracking the wood or damaging the adjacent mitered corner joint and drywall, as I will need to reinstate it when I move out. What needs to be done: Score the painted edges/mitered corner joint to break the paint bond. Carefully pry the single skirting board panel off the wall inside the alcove. Pull or flatten any remaining brad nails on the wall so the surface is smooth. Leave the removed timber piece intact for me to store. Tools required: Please bring your own utility knife, pry bar/trim puller and drywall protection materials. Located in Maroubra. Flexible with time, but looking to get this sorted as soon as possible. Modify Upholstered Bed to Suit Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper I’m looking for an experienced carpenter or cabinet maker to inspect my upholstered bed and see if it can be safely modified to work with an Arm’s Reach bedside co-sleeper. The co-sleeper’s instructions require the mattress, bed base and frame to be aligned. My current bed has a thick upholstered surround that extends beyond the mattress, preventing the co-sleeper from sitting flush against the bed. I’m hoping someone can assess whether it’s possible to: Modify the bed frame, or Build a safe support/extension, or Suggest another secure solution that allows the co-sleeper to attach correctly. Safety is my highest priority as this is for my newborn. Thanks!

I have a bathroom pocket/cavity sliding door that has come off its overhead track (see photos). I've tried to re-seat it myself without success. There's a wooden trim piece running along the side of the track mechanism that appears to be glued (not just screwed) to the door frame — I attempted to remove the screws but the trim won't budge, which is likely blocking access to the roller/track assembly. This might be a quick fix for someone experienced with sliding/cavity doors, but could also need a bit of carpentry work if the trim has to be carefully freed or replaced. Happy to increase the budget after an onsite look if more work is required. What's needed: -- Assess why the door has come off the track -- Free/remove the glued trim piece without damaging the frame (if needed) -- Re-hang the door and adjust rollers so it slides smoothly Reinstall or replace trim as needed Photos attached showing the door, the track mechanism, and the trim piece.
