I need a carpenter or experienced handyman to finish the internal frames of two newly installed aluminium windows. The goal is to "box out" the gap between the new windows and the existing architraves. Scope of Work: • 70mm Reveal Extensions: Install primed timber to bridge the 70mm depth from the window frame to the wall. • 30mm Flat Trims: Install a 30mm trim beside the existing architraves. • Sill Detail: Remove the old decorative piece under the internal windowsill and replace it with a new primed timber length. • Joint Style: Clean, square-cut butt joints for everything (no mitres). • Materials: Please supply Primed FJ Pine (no MDF). I will reimburse the cost of materials on the day upon presentation of a receipt. Requirements: • Please bring a table saw or track saw to rip the 70mm reveals to the exact required depth to ensure a flush finish. • Work must be neat and ready for painting. • Check the attached photos to see the current state of the timber and the area under the sill.

Hanging up a rod on a wooden window frame, the screw was too long and it has separated the frame from the brickwork underneath but I’ve stripped the screw so now I can’t remove it to replace it. I’ve tried using the stripped screw kits from Bunnings. Need someone to remove the stripped screws or cut them, then glue the frame back on the brickwork.

We have a double, old brick wall and do not want the anchoring to be drilled into the wall. We have an existing table top that is like to keep but the legs are rusted and need to be replaced. I have some good quality hardwood that can be used for new legs. One timber stair tread (bottom step) has developed front-edge movement. When stepped on near the edge it makes a clunking / hollow sound and shifts slightly. There is no access from underneath. This is not cosmetic – the tread needs to be structurally re-secured. What’s required: Re-bond tread to riser using construction adhesive (polyurethane or MS polymer) Mechanically secure tread to riser (screws, not nails) Clamp / weight while curing Plug / fill screw holes and tidy finish The side of the tread is lightly rubbing the wall due to movement – this should stop once fixed.
