We’re looking for someone to recommend and install a rubbish bin on a bedroom wall or door so our dog can’t get into it. We’ve spent quite a bit of time looking for a suitable option but have run into a few challenges: - Most wall-mounted bins are very small and designed for kitchen composting. We’re hoping for something larger, ideally around 30L or more. - Commercial wall-mounted bins often either don't have a lid or cost $700+. - We bought a regular metal bin with a motion-sensor lid, but unfortunately it has a large knob on the back that prevents it from being mounted properly (this wasn't obvious before purchasing). - It can't have a foot pedal or step opener, as our dog is clever enough to press it with their nose! We’re happy to purchase either: A standard metal bin plus whatever mounting hardware you recommend if you'd prefer to create a custom mount, or An affordable commercial wall-mounted product if you know of one. One idea we found is the product in Pictures #1 and #2. The only concern is that it's advertised as being only 8L, although we're checking with the seller because the enclosure itself looks much larger than that. Also attached is general mounting bracket we have which might work on the back of a normal bin (Picture #3). Please only make an offer if you're comfortable drilling into metal and can install everything neatly. The bedroom door is already scratched by the dog, so we're happy for that to be drilled or modified if needed. If mounting to the wall, we'd appreciate a clean, tidy installation. If the mounting hardware shows through the back of the door, we could always cover it with something decorative. Thanks so much for reading, and we look forward to hearing your ideas!
