Because of the wind direction, one of the windows had serious leaking during yesterday’s heavy rain. I think the internal drainage pipe is blocked, and I’m not able to clear it myself.

Our windows leak water into the tracks whenever it rains. We want to find a sealing solution to this problem. We have up to 10 window frames that need sealing but might not need to fix all of them, as only some of them are the main problem, particularly on the back face of our house.

I was thinking of using either a 12/16 mm MDF or Plywood board, glueing sound absorbing insulation batts on the board and nailing/screwing the board against the exisiting window frame. Require weather board to be added along on to timber frame to cover opening. Weather board will be rendered over eventually so just need this opening covered to ensure water doesn’t come through. Height of window is appx 4.5 metres so you will need a long enough ladder or something
