Hi there, I need a tiler or skilled bathroom handyman for a small 2-part job in a Level 2 townhouse in Maribyrnong. The area is roughly 115cm x 90cm. The Plan: We are removing an old leaking shower and replacing it with a fully enclosed, freestanding acrylic shower cabin. Therefore, I just need the old area demolished and a new, perfectly flat tiled floor laid for the cabin to sit on. Scope of Work (Part 1 - Demolition): - Remove the existing glass shower screen. - Jackhammer/remove the floor tiles and the wet cement screed down to the timber subfloor (approx 115x90cm). - Dispose of the rubbish/rubble. - Leave the existing PVC floor drain pipe in place. The waterfall side of my benchtop is developing a crack along the joint. It appears that the adhesive bond between the two pieces is failing. I suspect the waterfall panel does not have proper structural support where it attaches to the cabinet, so the weight has been carried mainly by the joint, which has led to this issue. We need to get tiles installed on a 1620x900x2500mm shower stall, in which a 1500x900x30mm shower basin will be positioned. The shower has a small niche to complete as part of the job. Tiler needed to attach ceramic tiles to brick for splashback behind outdoor kitchen in alfresco. (Yes we have tried to clean the previous glue splotches off the brick and unable to so this is primarily to cover that up). Tiles and edging already purchased, will need tiler to provide whatever glue/mortar is required, and something to cut the tiles and edging appropriately. Approximate splashback measurements: 2850 wide along back, 740 deep along side wall. These measurements haven't allowed for tile depth (8mm) - the end result should line up exactly with the ends of the outdoor kitchen benchtop. Tiles are 300 x 600, we have 2 boxes totalling 2.88m2. Want them installed vertically (ie portrait). Will require 2 tiles cut longways to get correct alignment with benchtop, and 1 powerpoint cut-out (see image - sparky will return to install the powerpoint once splashback is done). Preference for professional tiler over general handyman.
