I’m after a rustic Tuscan farmhouse finish: warm ivory or aged limestone-coloured walls, subtle hand-trowelled texture, and an organic, slightly weathered appearance. I want traditional European character rather than a perfectly smooth, modern finish. The goal is an affordable finish on existing brickwork that captures the feel of an old Italian country villa. Please recommend the most economical suitable render system and provide photos of comparable work you’ve completed.

My pond’s waterproofing had broken down and it was leaking, so I removed the waterproofing and the render underneath as it was damaged. Now I need the inside walls and floor rendered (7m length x 70cm width x 40cm depth, approx. 11m² total surface to render). Material: Sand-cement render mix, roughly 1 part cement : 3 parts fine washed plasterers' sand, with a bonding/waterproofing admixture (e.g. Bondcrete or SBR) and polypropylene fibres mixed in to reduce cracking. Important: Internal corners (wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor) must be curved/coved, not square — a smooth rounded fillet, not a sharp right angle. I pressure washed and cleaned the surface already, though that was 2-3 weeks ago, so it may need a quick re-clean. Please include any further surface prep (cleaning, roughening, patching) needed before rendering in your quote. Looking for someone experienced in concrete rendering, pool or pond construction.

Just revered my trailer into a freshly rendered and painted wall.

Looking for someone to help tidy up the pillars around our outdoor patio area in Birtinya. At the moment the rendered pillars stop short of the roof, with the narrower metal posts continuing above them. We’d like to box out the top sections so the pillars look like they continue all the way up to the roof. I’ve attached a photo of how it looks now and a mock-up of roughly what we’d like to achieve. There are 4 pillars to do and we’d like the finished result rendered to match the existing house as closely as possible. We will paint and clear waste.
