Plumber wanted urgently to attend a toilet issue. The toilet is not flushing properly. It appears partially blocked — the first flush does not clear properly and it takes a very long time to fully drain and complete the flush cycle.

The pipe is too long and sticks out near the roof, so when it’s windy it shakes and makes a lot of noise. Could you please shorten the pipe so it finishes closer to the wall and secure it properly with brackets?

Hi, Our toilet tank to bowl gasket is leaking and needs replacing, due to the way our toilet is setup the whole thing needs to be dismantled off the wall to do this. The flush valve seal is new, and was all checked over by a licensed plumber, they said it needs to come off the wall to be fix and would take around 2 hours. The quote sent to us detailed the following, "Outlet Valve Replacement - To supply labour and materials to remove and replace existing cistern flushing valve. Isolate water and empty cistern. Disconnect inlet valve from mini tap. Disconnect and remove cistern from wall. Disconnect and remove faulty valve. Install new cradle and mini stop. Refit cistern to wall and connect inlet valve. Turn on water, set levels, commission and test. All materials come with manufacturer's warranty."

There is a screw stuck in the toilet and it is very difficult to remove. See photos. I have a new bidet toilet seat that needs connecting. This is an easy job once the old screw is removed.
