The latch system breaks regularly and is no longer fit for purpose. We have just had the wall key-pad installed but require new full height doors with lock mechanism that is key-pad operated only. Need an experienced handyman or carpenter to trim approximately 5mm off the bottom (without splintering!) of an internal timber door so that it can clear a rug. The task involves: • Removal: Carefully unscrewing and removing the door from its hinges. • Transport: Carrying the door down three flights of stairs to our garage (and back up once finished). I can help carry • Trimming: Trimming 5mm off the bottom edge. A clean, straight finish is essential. • Re-installation: Carrying the door back up and re-hanging it, ensuring it swings perfectly and the latch aligns. • Clean-up: Tidying up any sawdust or debris in the garage and apartment. Important Details: • Power: You can plug your power tools into the outlet in our garage. • Access: Please note the three flights of stairs; the door is a standard weight but will require someone comfortable with the carry. • Tools: Please bring your own tools (circular saw with a guide, track saw, or electric planer) and saw horses.
