Find an experienced handyman in Wynnum West

We’ve just purchased a house in Wynnum West and are looking for a skilled carpenter / handyman / all-rounder to help with a range of jobs. The previous owners have done a lot of DIY work, so we need someone who takes pride in doing things properly, and can give advice on what will work, not quick patch jobs. We’re looking for someone who: • Is reliable and shows up when they say they will • Communicates clearly and proactively • Takes care in their work and finishes to a high standard • Has solid experience across carpentry + general handyman work • Bonus if you have experience with bathrooms / tapware / fixtures Jobs include: • Knocking down plaster walls • Re-doing plaster + trims • Building shelving (laundry, line closet etc) • wardrobe fit-out • Installing a door + cat flap • Fixing/replacing doorknobs • Fence repairs / partial replacement • Bathroom/tap fixture adjustments (if experienced) • Plus other odd jobs and repairs as we go The house is currently empty, so easy access. Timing: Looking to start ASAP (ideally tomorrow). Availability over the Easter long weekend would be a big bonus. Rates: $60–$90/hr depending on experience (Happy to pay higher rates for highly skilled/efficient work, including over Easter) Happy to work hourly, but would appreciate rough time estimates per task where possible. Potential for ongoing work if it’s a good fit.

I have taken the old door handle off. Need the new handle put on. The holes for bolts for the previous handle are vertical, but this handle needs holes aligned horizontally. Also the hole for the latch needs to be a bit bigger to accommodate the new latch.
