Cut the wire from the ground to the power point next to front driveway electric gate. No trench digging, small amount of digging next to where wire has been cut, reconnect wire and seal to prevent moisture penetration.

Install a switch by wiring it up to the existing electric striker so the gate can be opened from the inside without a key and without having to go back in the house to open the gate with the intercom panel. Will need to rough it in the PVC post (see image). The intercom is already functioning so this is the missing piece of the puzzle.
