Want to pull out my 4 burner gas cooktop so need gas capped to the cooktop. I’m open to the weekend.

I’m looking for a qualified appliance technician to inspect and repair my Smeg gas cooktop (model CIR93AXS3). Issue details: • The largest burner ignites normally. • However, when releasing the knob (even after holding it down for an extended period), the flame goes out. • A “click” sound can be heard from beneath the knob at the moment it shuts off. • This mainly happens during the first use of the day (cold start). • After multiple re-ignitions, the burner tends to stay lit. • The flame fully reaches the thermocouple. Based on preliminary research, it may be a failing thermocouple or possibly the gas safety valve. I’m seeking someone experienced with gas cooktops (preferably Smeg) to diagnose and replace the faulty component if required.

Remove current & install new gas cooktop

Old cook top has a small gas leak on one of the burners and needs to be removed and a new one installed. We are looking to redo the kitchen down the track, so it doesn't need to be flash, just safe and functional. To cooktops we are looking at to replace it are 600ml 4 burner. They will be shorter in width, but greater in depth than the current cut out. Therefore we will be looking to get a little more depth cutout of the wood/laminate countertop, and a plate that can cover the gap of the width as a short term solution until we can get the kitchen redone down the track. The pipe work below also appears to be a solid pipe, so it is likely a isolation valve will need to be installed. Measurements. Current: LxW = 975x445 Cutout depth: 405 Available depth for new cutout: 495 I will look to have the new gas cooktop ready. I don't have other materials but can look to have them ready upon request if needed.
