A fridge needs to be moved from a third‑level apartment to a single‑storey house located two streets away. There are 15 narrow steps from ground level to the second floor, followed by a further 7 wider steps up to the third floor where the fridge is located. There is no lift. When we moved in, the removalists were unable to use a trolley because they couldn’t manoeuvre it at the top of the first flight of stairs, so they had to carry the fridge up by hand. I believe the move would require two people using carrying straps to safely lift and transport the fridge.
