We went on holiday for a bit over a week & left a bin out which resulted in a maggot infestation in our apartment. Them & the little red shells before they come out were everywhere. Sorry very gross but have been dealing with it for a few days 🫣😂🤢 We’ve cleaned like crazy & had someone come in to fumigate/spray. Our apartment has an open plan kitchen/living area/balcony area which is all tile & cleaned then one bedroom & one study which is all carpet. The study is most affected & we have taken out all of the furniture, bedroom still has furniture in it but not as affected. While we have vacuumed the carpet countlessly and gotten someone to spray it the little shells still come out of the carpet when vacuuming but you can’t see them when your looking at the carpet. So they have somehow dug themselves in & you can’t see it, they just pop up sometimes 🤢. Trust me I have vacuumed the carpet SO MANY TIMES but they have made their own secret society in there or something. Really need some help to get them out and feel safe to walk in there without shoes. Lesson learned, don’t leave your rubbish when you go away lol. We have chucked out of sofa & rug as they are literally everywhere inside them so everything is all dealt with apart from the carpets. The study is most affected the room not so much but there have been a few so we don’t want to ignore that one.
