I’m looking for an experienced fencing professional based near Point Cook VIC 3030 to help with a few issues at my property. 🔧 Main Issue: The front timber fence along Astoria Drive is leaning and deteriorating — it was built in 2017 and has already failed after only 5,6years. Given the exposure to Point Cook’s strong winds, changing weather, and local soil conditions, I’m looking for someone who truly understands how to build a durable fence that can last at least 15 years. The front door was also sticking, but that’s already been fixed. 📋 Scope of Work: • Removal and disposal of the existing front timber paling fence • Supply and installation of a new 1.8m–1.95m high treated pine timber fence with: • Hardwood posts (75x125mm), embedded minimum 600mm deep in concrete • Treated pine rails and palings • Capping and plinth board included • Pedestrian gate repair: reuse existing gate panel, install new post and latch I’ve already received few quotes , which includes all materials, demolition, and installation. Their design uses hardwood posts and full concrete footings, but they only offer a 12-month warranty, which gives me some concern given the last fence collapsed early. That’s why I’m still looking for someone local, experienced, and confident in building a long-lasting structure suited to Point Cook’s environment — ideally someone who can back their work with a longer guarantee.
