Single story home, install ceiling fan in lounge room (has a remote) and 1 plug socket in laundry

My Renault Master van has a brand new battery in it about five or so months ago and I hardly drive it as I am trying to convert it to a coffee van. So I started it up yesterday and it was making a funny sound like there was an electrical short somewhere and it had totally drained my battery. I charged it again and started it up but now worried it will repeat itself. The hazard lights come on immediately once i open the doors and wondering if it is connected to the issue. I need some help fixing it or diagnosing the issue..please been told $75 an hour is heaps as my budget is also depleted, also depending on parts required if necessary. TIA
