Hi, I need help fixing one burner igniter on my Omega 4-burner gas cooktop. The Problem: We accidentally used charcoal on this burner, and now the igniter clicks normally when turned on, but the spark won't jump to light the gas. Current Status: Gas flows fine, and the burner lights immediately with an external lighter, so the gas line and ports are clear. The issue is strictly with the spark/igniter electrode (likely heat damage or carbon buildup from the charcoal). Gas Cooktop Repair Looking for someone experienced with gas cooktop repairs to have a look at this 4-burner cooktop at my rental property. It has already been inspected and I’ve been advised that the microswitch is intermittently faulty and needs replacing, along with the daisy chain. Apparently the original part is no longer available, but a suitable replacement/universal part may be possible. Photos attached. The oven below is Chef, so the cooktop may be Chef as well, but I’m not certain. Looking for someone who can either repair it at a reasonable cost, or provide a free, no-obligation quote before I decide whether to repair or replace it. To repair the following. I have attached some pics. 1. Ceiling Water Damage & Shower Leak: Water staining and paint bubbling were found on the ground-floor living room ceiling. Elevated moisture was detected directly above in the master ensuite shower/vanity walls. Epoxy might be required on the ensuite bathroom floor upstairs. 2. Laundry Water Feed Hose Deterioration: The braided flexible hot water hose under the laundry sink is severely frayed and near rupture. 3. Gas Cooktop Fault (Kitchen): The electronic ignition sparks continuously during operation and will not turn off. 4. Unvented Bathroom Exhaust Fan (Upstairs): Exhaust discharges directly into the roof void directly in front of an active electrical power plug base.

Devanti cooktop 60 cm bought from Myer. One of the burners (the biggest one of the four) cannot ignite. Photos show fine crack at the bottom of the ceramic pin causing electricity to leak out. It works fine if using a lighter.

I have a free-standing gas cooktop / oven that was removed when the floors of my villa unit were sanded. I now need to have the unit re-installed and fitted off again.
