I need approx 2–2.5cm trimmed off the bottom of one hollow-core bedroom door as new carpet has been installed and the door no longer clears it. The door is currently approx. 201cm high. The job involves removing the door, cutting/trimming the required amount, sanding the underside and rehanging it. There are two possible scenarios: 1. Trim only – $100: Remove the door, trim 2–2.5cm from the bottom, sand and rehang it, provided the existing bottom timber rail remains sufficient and the hollow section is not exposed. 2. Timber reinforcement if required – additional $50, $150 total: If trimming exposes the hollow section, install or reposition a timber rail at the bottom so the door is properly reinforced, then sand, seal the underside, and rehang the door. Looking for someone to Install carpet to 3 bedrooms. There will be myself and one other older tradesmen on site to help. Needs to be done in the morning, 7 - 7:30am start. I’m moving out of my rental and urgently need an experienced carpet repair specialist to fix an existing carpet patch so the repair blends as seamlessly as possible with the surrounding carpet.
