Hi, I need help installing a small window awning on an external brick wall. The issue is that the awning brackets sit partly over the window frame, so they can’t be screwed directly into the brick. We have the awning we just need someone to attach it to the rack that’s already installed. We have all the awning brackets for it

An awning might do the trick but it needs to be 2.4m wide and 4m long, to shade my car and be within Stirling council requirements. Attached to the side of our two story house, behind the gate in the picture. I guess some kind of cantilever design? The space is bituminized and ready to go, with lots of room to do the job. I'm not sure if a 2.4 awning span is possible?
