Evaporative air cooler service Clean and sanitise evaporative pads through which water passes. Clean water tray/basin, by removing all sediment and slime with a brush place a sanitisation capsule in the hopper for hygiene Check and adjust fan belts, motor mountings and that fans are securely to motor shafts, filter panel fixings are intact and secure etc. Inspect and adjust water inlet valve and dump valve if fitted. Check that water overflow is not blocked and is working correctly. Check around the base of the evaporative cooler to ensure that the penetration into the building is water tight. Finally, check the operation of the above and the wall controller to ensure that the system is working at its optimal best.

Our washing machine is no longer filling up with cold water. I’ve been told by my stepdad (who is admittedly not an expert) that apparently it’s a pretty simple fix with some valve or something but I know nothing about washing machines and will likely blow my suburb up if I try to fix it. Everything else on the machine works fine, even the hot water which flows normally, just cold water so it shouldn’t be too hard to fix, I hope. We are currently filling the thing up with a hose which is understandably annoying. I’ve listed the budget as $100 but I honestly have no idea and would like to get a few quotes.

We have a 900mm Westinghouse pryo oven with inbuilt gas cooktop. It seems the wall bracket is not on properly and the oven is not able to be seated squarely. Need oven basically uninstalled and re-installed square. Gas and electricity already in place - electricity has a wall override allowing it to be turned off.

Automatic electric gate gets stuck and stops working. It rattles along the track and has become noisy. Recently got it Serviced and adjusted but then it got stuck again. The repair man said the motor still has another year left in it. I’ve set it to manual mode but it still feels hard to slide when manually opening and closing it.
