Its a 5 burner cooktop. Its auto ignite and with repeated pressing of knob, the ignition does not work. Trying multiple times, it might work but not consistent. Its typical standing cook top with oven on the bottom.

1. Plumber to disconnect old gas stove & kitchen sink this coming Friday. 2. Then Install new sink and tapware on new bench installed by chippy on Saturday (while chippy will be installing cab/bench for new stove and oven. 3. Reconnect gas to new stove once stove is installed.

Whenever I turn on my gas stove igniter, the power trips on the connected line. The power switch on the power board turns off, cutting electricity to the lights and a few other appliances on that line. I have to manually reset it from the main switchboard each time. This happens every time I try to use the stove, so I suspect there’s either a wiring issue, a short circuit in the igniter, or the igniter is drawing too much current. I need a licensed electrician to diagnose and fix the issue safely.
