Two burners ignite normally while the control knobs are held down, but the flames go out immediately when the knobs are released, even after holding them down for 20–30 seconds. The burners and gas ports have already been cleaned and correctly positioned. The likely cause is two faulty thermocouples/flame sensors, but please inspect and confirm before replacement. I've just had a new induction cooktop installed to replace an old gas cooktop, and the existing cutout in the stone benchtop is about 5mm too tight on one side. I need a stonemason (or anyone properly set up for on-site stone cutting) to trim that edge so the new cooktop drops in. I'm not certain whether the benchtop is engineered stone or natural stone - happy to send photos so you can tell me before you commit. Flexible on the time.I know this is a small job, so I'm happy to fit in around your other work - early, late, weekends, or as a filler between bigger jobs in my area. Just tell me what suits.
