Hi there, I need help removing two large metal beams/brackets that were originally part of a garage door system. They’re currently fixed to the wall and floor of my studio/garage. What needs doing: • Remove, and then dispose of two metal beams/brackets attached vertically to the wall, • Both beam have bolts into the concrete floor that I unable to loosen with any tools I have (e.g. adjustable spanner) • The beams also appear firmly secured to the wall • I don’t have the tools to remove these safely. Possible approaches (your call): • Cutting the floor bolt using an angle grinder or reciprocating saw. • Removing or cutting any wall fasteners. • Gently prying the beams off the wall once the fixings are released. • Ensuring the wall is left safe and clear (minor cosmetic damage is fine - this wall will be covered). JOB: • Must bring own tools (grinder, reciprocating saw, metal blades, socket set, pry bar, etc.). • Ideally someone who can also dispose of the metal beams once removed.

Replace fly screens on two wooden sliding doors with stronger mesh (as we have a cat). One door only requires the bottom section to be replaced, approximately 1040mm x 760mm. The other door requires both top and bottom replaced, so roughly 1040mm x 760mm and 1040mm x 1220mm (or 1040mm x 2000mm if top and bottom can be done together).

The door is rotten due to rain damage over years. I don’t want to buy a new one and prefer to repair it if possible. Once repaired add rain deflectors to the door. I am looking for someone honest that can tell me if they can get it done properly or if it is not repairable at all. Need a door installed. Door is brand new therefore needs handles, hinges installed (which we have). It is replacing an interior door which was narrower, therefore the frame (door stopper) needs to be trimmed or replaced to match the new thicker door. Besides the thickness, door should match frame. Worst case some trimming on bottom edge if necessary. Door is made of timber & glass. Door is an exterior door so not light/hollow like most interior doors. If done on weekends I can assist with lifting etc if needed.
