Due to a misunderstanding, Derek came later than I expected but I really appreciate his communication and ability to be flexible and move forward with the timeline I had in mind. He brought a friend to help and successfully did all tasks (hanging curtain rods and curtains including for a bay window and a large picture frame in a plaster wall)! We provided a ladder and a drill (theirs had run out of battery), but he brought everything needed to hang a painting in the plaster wall which was super great. He was done in around two or two and a half hours. Would recommend!

While there are different types of curtain tracks, an important step in curtain installation is measuring the space to determine where to fit the brackets. They’ll screw the brackets into place and fit the curtain track, ready for hanging your curtain.
Shades/roller blind installation
It’s common to book blind and curtain installation together if you need both types of window coverings. For shades or roller blinds, your installer will first measure and mark the area where the mounting brackets are going to be placed on the window frame. Next, they’ll drill holes into the marks before securing the mounting brackets on the marked area with screws, making sure that the male and female pieces are mounted on the correct sides of the windows. Finally, they’ll click the shades into place and fix in a tensioning device to secure the adjusting chain.
Curtain rod repair
Broken curtain rods may be repaired or replaced, depending on the type and extent of the damage. If the curtain rod bracket has been pulled out of the wall, your repairer will start by removing the curtain rod and drilling holes through the wall above and below where it was mounted. They’ll place small plastic anchors through each of these holes before reattaching the curtain mounts to these anchors. Alternatively, your installer may choose to repair the hole and re-attach your curtain mounts in a slightly different spot on your windows. If the curtain rod has been bent, your handyman may also be able to straighten it out using tools before re-installing.
