The smoke alarm is beeping for over a week. I have changed battery twice and tried to reset but there is a continuous single beep every minute or so.

I already have the replacement smoke alarm (model Ei3016). The old one is installed on a ceiling base plate and the wiring is already done. It started beeping and probably needs a battery replacement. I just need someone to safely disconnect the power, remove the old alarm, clip the new one in, and test it. Should be a quick job (5–10 minutes). Ceiling is easy to reach with a chair or small ladder. Please bring a voltage tester or be comfortable working with mains. North Finchley location. I prefer someone with electrician or maintenance experience, but a competent handyman is fine.

I have a 2 bedroom house and I want 2 mainswired interlined smoke alarms fitted for me (1 downstairs hallway and 1 upstairs hallway) as I’m leasing the property to the council and that’s their requirements. Remove existing smoke alarm which is not working any more and install a new one that I bought. It’s connected to the main. Not a battery.

Battery needs replacing in at least one smoke alarm, maybe two or three. I am unsure whether the alarms are also connected to the mains electricity, so an electrician would be good. Step ladder and suitable tools needed!

2 old hard wired smoke alarms need replacing with Nest Protect alarms. one is in the stairwell so an extendable or telescopic ladder is needed.

One smoke alarm in my flat made the fire alarm noise. I tried changing the old battery with new ones but the fire alarm noise wouldn’t stop. I had to temporarily disassemble the smoke alarm. Need the smoke alarm repaired. Or have it replaced if it’s not fixable.

Hello, Our smoke alarms are 5 years old and are not working properly. Even with new batteries we had to remove one as it kept all of them beeping even with no smoke. Now one of them keeps beeping intermittently. We need someone to review them. There are 3 in the flat. Thanks, Renata

House with interlinked mains wired smoke alarms. Smoke alarms are not working - seems to be no power. Needs looking at first; then a quote for what is needed, so ideally someone local to N16.
