I have a uPVC window with a failed/corroded locking mechanism. I have already contacted specialist trade suppliers, including Duffells and Lock Shop Direct, but they have been unable to identify the mechanism from photographs as there are no visible manufacturer markings and the gearbox is heavily corroded. I am looking for someone with specific experience repairing/replacing uPVC window locking mechanisms who can: - Inspect the existing mechanism in person - Identify the mechanism and/or determine the relevant dimensions - Source a suitable replacement or compatible modern alternative - Fit the replacement and ensure the window locks and operates correctly Important: This is not necessarily a straightforward like-for-like replacement, as the original mechanism may be obsolete. I'm therefore looking for someone who is experienced in identifying alternative/compatible mechanisms and adapting them where necessary, rather than simply replacing an identical part. I can provide photographs of the existing mechanism before the job. Please only apply if you have experience with uPVC window mechanisms/espagnolette locks and are confident dealing with older or unidentified mechanisms.

Replace UPVC window hinges on a first floor window. This would need to be done from the inside unless you have a ladder. The metal hinge is about 500 mm long. The window is about 110cm wide and 50cm tall

Repair of existing UpVC window handle. The window is sealed shut and does not open. Upon inspection it appears the handle mechanism needs fixing as it is loose. Urgent repair required

I have a white pvc window but it doesn’t match the other in the house so I want to stick a white pvc strip across the middle (on the inside and outside). Fine to stick it on, but it needs to match up to the frame as much as possible. See photos - show bottom window which we want to change and top window with horizontal strut in the middle.

One UPVC casement window (first floor, side of house) won’t fully close – the handle turns but the locking points seem stuck or misaligned. The issue started this week. No obvious damage to hinges. Easy parking available. May need adjustment or replacement of locking mechanism. Happy to be flexible on price if required and expecting any required parts to be in addition.
