What does product photography include?
Product photography includes everything all the steps involved from setting up your products and taking the photos to edit. Your photographer will bring their camera, tripod, lighting, and backdrop if they’re shooting onsite, or they’ll bring your products into their studio space. Common product photography services include:
Flatlays for social media
Social media is all about the aesthetic and setting the scene for your product. Flatlays are a great way to highlight your product among similar products and create an interesting, engaging story. Usually, you’ll need to provide all the items you want in your photos and your product photographer will do the rest! But they can help with advice on items with suitable textures, colours, and uses that you may want to include. They’ll lay out your product on a flat surface under bright lighting before positioning the camera directly above your product. They’ll experiment with lighting and angles, and capture a range of photos before editing the ones that work best. Edits will usually involve cropping to a square (for Instagram), adjusting the levels, and applying a filter.
Studio product photography
If you want your product to stand out on its own, studio product photography is a perfect choice. Your product photographer will pick up your product or have it shipped to their studio where their bright lights, backdrops, and equipment are set up and ready to go. They’ll offer a white or black background but may also have a green screen and other colour/texture options. Product modelling & photography

I require an experienced photographer to take several high definition stills of art work at my studio in Islington London, N1 8JT. My printer has advised that the images must be at least 300dpi. The main image is approx 7ft by 3 ft. It is important that the whole canvas is in focus and you can not use a wide angle lens. Previous experience taking photos of artwork will be of interest. I will provide the MEMORY card for this project after discussion with the photographer. My studio has reasonable natural lighting so additional artificial lighting will probably not be required. It is important that there is no light reflected off the canvas in the images. I am located a short walk from Angel Tube. There is pay as you go parking immediately outside. please respond by email with details of previous experience and examples of any relevant images and availability. I predict the whole project will take around 2-3 hours. Please confirm your hourly rate or fixed price. I will ask you to sign an NDA in respect of this project. - Due date: Flexible
