Bathroom refresh – remove paint from tiles, reseal and repaint Small bathroom in a property guardianship. I am looking for a practical, hygienic refresh rather than a full renovation. The existing bathroom tiles appear to be blue underneath and have previously been painted white. The paint is now peeling in several areas. Preferred work: * Carefully remove the existing paint from the bathroom tiles where possible, with the aim of restoring and keeping the original blue tiles * Please test a small area first before proceeding with the full tile area * Clean the tiles thoroughly once the paint has been removed * Remove and replace deteriorated/stained silicone around the bath/basin with white mould-resistant sanitary silicone * Prepare and repaint the peeling bathroom vanity/shelf * Repaint/touch up the bathroom walls in a light neutral colour to complement the blue tiles * Leave the bathroom clean and tidy afterwards I do not want the tiles repainted unless we discuss and agree this first. The damaged window sill and larger wall crack are being reported separately to the property management company. Please quote labour separately from materials, confirm how long you expect the work to take, and explain how you would remove the existing tile paint without damaging the tiles.

Need someone to finish stripping paint off a staircase handrail (Victorian terrace, N15) Hey! We started stripping the paint off our wood panelling and staircase handrail ourselves but got overwhelmed partway through. Now looking for someone to pick it up and finish the job properly. Photos attached show where we got to: some sections back to bare wood, other patches still with old paint layers and flaking bits. The upstairs bannister hasn't been stripped at all yet. Would be done in place (not removable, so no dipping) – heat gun, gel stripper, sanding, whatever finishes it off cleanly without chewing up the original timber. Given the age of the house please flag if you test for lead paint as part of the job. The quote here should be to get the panelling pictured fully stripped and the bannister rail itself, not the spindles. End goal is bare wood ready to stain/oil or varnish. Flexible on timing and on budget if the right team quotes

We’ve tried (and struggled) to strip the paint off our window. Task is to strip the paint and then paint the window trade white.

I’ve put on peel away 1 on the banister and half stairs. Unable to finish (still have the peel away) so need the rest of stairs doing and scraping from stairs and banister please. As well, the hallway stairs and banister need doing.

Most of the paint has already been chemically stripped. I only need the staircase sanded back to clean timber and prepared for a natural finish.”

I’m looking for someone experienced in removing white paint from original internal brickwork. The apartment is in Bow Quarter, E3. One large double-height brick wall has been completely painted white and I want to expose the original brick again, similar to the before and after vision in the photos. The actual painted brick area is around 10 to 14 square metres. The wall is approximately 5.5 metres wide and 4.5 metres high, with large factory windows taking up much of the area. The apartment will be empty before I move in, so access will be easier. I’m open to soda blasting, controlled sandblasting or another suitable method, provided the original brick is not badly damaged. Looking for an all-in price including protection, paint removal and clean-up. Please send photos of similar work if you have done this before.

Hi, I hope you are well. I have a gate in N20 0HD that was installed two days ago. I started the process of painting it, but realised that I have not put enough wood preservative on the gate. Please note: I do not need the doors stripped or painted,only the door frames. The goal is to remove the existing layers of paint completely, leaving the frames ready for preparation and repainting. Please let me know what method you’ll use (e.g. heat gun, chemical stripper, sanding) and whether you’ve done similar work before.

I have a victorian staircase that I need a paint stripping job completed on. The job was begun and abandoned by a previous contractor unfortunately. I'm not needing a full restoration and finish, I'm ideally just hoping to just have as much paint removed as possible to return the staircase to a functional state. Need tile paint stripped off the tiles in the bathroom

Somebody's painted over the front of my house. I'd like to go back to brick, and apply storm dry sealant afterwards. I'm keen to hear from any professionals who have done this before.

Dust extraction equipment, sealing of doorways is essential - please DO NOT quote if you do not have the equipment I need wooden panelling and door stripping (much of it is done), filling where needed and prepping for wood oil. I will be leaving the wood bare. I also need hallway walls, skirting and three door entrances sanding and prepping for painting. The ceiling does NOT need doing Five doors also need sanding and prepping The painting itself is not required but the prepping must be done to a high quality.

Need lead paint removed from window sills, banister, and other small areas. I have added photos of the work, in order: 1. Newel post of bannister needs stripping, as do spindles, handrail, and base rail. 2. Shows the same part of the banister, as well as the plank that runs parallel, which also needs stripping. 3. Top bannister, again, newel post, spindles and base rail need stripping. Hand rail is almost fully stripped, but may need a final attempt. 4. Shows the plank running parallel, which also needs stripping. 5. Shows condition of 1 of the 3 same size window sills that needs stripping. There is a fourth window sill that needs stripping, which is twice the size.

Renovating the room, ceiling needs the popcorn paper to be removed, so it can be eventually painted. The popcorn paper has been painted over.
