Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil. Â
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing
After placing the new oil and filter, your mechanic will do a final inspection by starting the engine and letting it run it for a few minutes. This step will help ensure that the new motor oil is circulating smoothly and that there are no signs of leakage around the drain plug and filter. Afterwards, they will insert a dipstick inside the tank to ensure that the oil has the correct reading.

I have a 2012 Yamaha R1 motorcycle, which has been stored in an underground car park for 2 years without being started or serviced. I would like to get it running again, which requires that you: - siphon the old gas, and fill the tank back with a few liters of gasoline (regular unleaded) - change the engine oil, and oil filter I have changed the battery already. I will provide the new oil and filter, please bring a jerrycan with a few liters of petrol. The bike is located in an underground car park (West Smithfield Car Park, postcode EC1A 9DY), which is in central London (near Farringdon), within the congestion zone (so please factor that into the price). Anytime within the next 2 weeks (before 10th July), during the week or weekend (weekend preferred but weekdays are fine too). - Due date: Before Sunday, 10 July 2022
