Hi! Looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to safely install a 3.6m pine mopstick handrail along a straight flight of 14 stairs. Will need to slightly shorten the rail. What’s Provided: Pine Handrail Mopstick (3.6m) and 4x wall brackets (all arrived from B&Q). Free parking spot directly outside the house. Wall & Fixing Setup: The wall is drywall over a timber stud frame. I have used a stud finder to locate 4 timber studs along the stair line ready for secure fixing. Photos of the staircase are attached to this listing. Requirements: Must bring own tools (spirit level, tape measure, drill/driver, saw, sander). Must bring heavy-duty wood screws suitable for anchoring the brackets securely into the timber studs (needs to hold full adult load safely). Clean, neat finish. Timing: Flexible on dates/times—please let me know your availability when submitting your offer.

Need someone to put splash back sticker tiles on a small area of our kitchen. The tiles are stickers and come as two long strips they just need to be cut a little bit (with scissors)

When the kitchen mixer taps are turned on , there is a loud knocking or banging noise. This sometimes makes the wall behind the boiler vibrate as well. At the same time, the bathroom basin shakes, and the hot-water tap on the bathroom basin leaks. The same thing happens when the bath tap is turned on — there is a loud knocking noise, and the bathroom basin tap vibrates and leaks water from the hot tap. It doesn’t happen every time, but it happens most of the time. It happens more often when the taps in kitchen and bathtub are turned on near full and it tends to be ok when the taps are only opened slightly.

Our budget is £200 to £250, so we know that may not cover everything. Please let us know what you could do for that, and we'll pick up the rest ourselves. • Second coat of paint on the staircase walls, landing and upstairs hallway (ceilings are already done) • Second coat of eggshell on the woodwork (skirting and frames) • Paint 6 doors, all already primed • Staircase: old paint is stripped and mostly sanded. Needs a second round of filler, a light sand, then primer or undercoat • Skim a small airing cupboard using Dalapro Roll Nova (roll-on skim). Happy for this to be a "have a go" job as it's only a cupboard • Optional: fix a creaky staircase up to the loft. Only if you're comfortable with a bit of carpentry, and happy to price this separately Paint is supplied. Ideally this Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st October, and happy to spread it over both days.
