The steps to take now are critical: we must not continue to drive the car in this condition, since the filter cannot regenerate, so soot will accumulate rapidly; ideally, you should perform a direct inspection of the sensor wiring for cables burned by exhaust heat or sulfated connectors, and if they are intact, proceed to replace the sensor with an original one followed by a reset of adaptive values using diagnostic equipment. I want to reassure you, because even though the car feels “heavy” or almost useless right now, this behavior is an electronic safety measure, and generally, once we restore the sensor signal, the engine regains all its power and responsiveness immediately.
