    Get it done

Choose the right person for your task and get it done.

    What does landscaping include?

When you book your landscaper, it’s important to let them know in your task exactly what work you need done. That way, they’ll be able to make you a fair offer and bring along the right tools for the job.

Not sure where to start? If you need a range of general landscaping services, grab a notepad and pen, then go for a wander outside. Make a note of anything that needs tidying up, trimming, or removing. Then make sure you include these tasks in your listing.

Another way to think about your landscaping is to break it down by the type of specialised skill or service you need. Here are some of the jobs you might give to your landscaper and what you can expect to happen during the process.

When you’re undertaking a BIG change, it’s important to lay the groundwork with some planning, first. A garden designer will help come up with ideas and map everything out on paper before you get started. Or you might hire a landscape architect to plan a larger commercial landscaping project in your local community or public space.

    Earth and rocks

Don’t break your back over your backyard landscaping - no matter how little or how much you need to do. You can hire earthmoving contractors to do your trench digging, levelling, and even your pool excavation or boring excavation. They’ll bring the all tools and equipment needed to dig and move the earth so you (literally) don’t have to get your hands dirty.

Planning a nice new garden bed to grow your own veggies, flowers, shady trees, or just want to reduce the amount of ground you have to mow? Get some help with your garden landscaping and garden edging to get the project off your to-do list and done sooner. That way, you can get on with the fun bit - planting!

Where there’s plants, there’s water. Make sure your plants get water when they need it (without having to remember to hose) with a drip irrigation system or a sprinkler system installation. Or make your garden more beautiful with a garden pond or water features. Either way, getting your water systems sorted is so much quicker and easier with an extra pair of hands or a landscaper near you who knows what they’re doing.

Trees are wonderful things, but sometimes, a tree’s gotta go. If you’re not experienced, you should never do chainsawing, stump grinding, wood chipping and mulching, or land clearing yourself. That’s something you should leave up to an experienced landscaper with the right equipment and background to get the job done properly and safely.

    Building and installations

A big component of landscaping is installing things to make your space more functional and beautiful. Things like retaining walls, artificial turf, landscape lighting or even garden benches to sit on. It’s always best to get a landscaper to help when it involves heavy lifting or specialist equipment. They’ll help you get your installations done safely and help you start enjoying your space much sooner.

    Handyman jobs in Borehamwood

    Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6

    2nd Jan 2020

A few handyman jobs need doing around the house, all simple jobs which will take far less than a day for someone who knows what they're doing, including: - Straighten tv aerial on the roof (you need a long ladder) - Re-attach slightly loose guttering at ground level - Open three jammed windows - Putting blinds up - Fixing a loose floor board - Easi-filling over loose lining paper on walls (I have easi-fill) - Filling various gaps and edges You would need tools and filler materials for this. Ideally done sooner rather than later.

Very good practical worker. Solved my issues in the house quickly, efficiently and to a good quality. Knows what he's doing and clearly very experienced. There are a lot of 'handymen' on this site who only know how to put up a shelf at best, Colin is not one of them.
