I have a first-floor uPVC bay window that has shifted slightly (approx. 5-10mm slump) due to the weight of internal shutters. The window is now un-level and has pulled away from the external render beads. The Job: Mechanical Anchoring: Use 180mm (or appropriate length) masonry frame fixings to bolt the uPVC frame back into the brickwork/lintel to stop any further movement. Leveling: Check the frame with a spirit level to ensure it is stabilized. External Sealing: Apply a high-quality external silicone (e.g., Dowsil 791 White) to the gap between the window frame and the render bead to make it watertight.
