Hello! My name is Dave and I’m a business owner and an avid DIYer. I am currently building a recording studio and we are in the final stages of construction, doing most of the internal joinery, ventilation work and painting. I am looking for 2-3 people to help with DIY tasks. Those with little experience are welcome too, I am happy to teach you on the job. We will work through a daily to do list with each person doing their own set of tasks. Solo individuals are welcome to apply. Be aware that you will be on site with myself and one or two other people daily. This is a last minute job post as one of my staff has sadly fallen ill. The job will run from the 19th but could go on longer. Please respond with your availability over the coming days and the daily rate. Phone calls are also welcome - in fact it would be great to have a chat over the phone before you start. I normally pay £30/hour (£240/8 hour day). Days range from 8-10 hours. I am looking for an experienced builder or groundwork specialist to professionally install my Hiplok AX1000 motorcycle ground anchor on my private brick-paved driveway in North London. The driveway has block paving with a sand bedding layer underneath, so a suitable concrete foundation will need to be created. Work required: Lift the necessary driveway paving bricks carefully. Excavate and prepare the ground. Construct a suitable concrete foundation for the Hiplok AX1000, following the manufacturer's installation requirements. Allow the concrete to cure sufficiently before drilling and installing the anchor. Secure the AX1000 using the correct fixings. Make good the surrounding paving and leave the area tidy. The anchor will be installed inside my existing motorcycle tent. I also intend to install a metal motorcycle garage in the future, so the anchor position needs to accommodate this. I already own the Hiplok AX1000. Please include labour, concrete, materials and waste removal in your quote. Budget: £300 — open to reasonable quotes. Please only respond if you have experience with concrete groundwork and secure ground-anchor installations.

Hi, I’m looking to get some work done on my shower. The previous owner of the flat tiled over the existing tiles, and around the shower taps/faucets they’ve essentially tiled and sealed them into the wall rather than finishing the area properly. I don’t want the whole shower retiled as I actually really like the existing tiles, and I’ve managed to buy a matching set. I’d just like the area around the taps removed and redone properly using the matching tiles I have, and I’d also like the existing shower taps replaced with new ones. Would this be something you could help with? I can send some photos if needed. Thanks!
