Task: Wall Reinforcement (Cat Bed) & Towel Hook Installation Description: I need two jobs completed in my home. One involves reinforcing a hollow wall for a cat bed or shelf, and the other is installing a towel hook panel on a hollow bathroom door. Both require proper assessment and secure fixing. ⸻ 1. Cat Bed / Floating Shelf Installation (Under Window) The wall is hollow and will not hold standard fixings. Scope: * Assess wall type and confirm best reinforcement method * Open wall if required and install internal support (e.g. timber backing/noggins) * Make good (fill, sand, repaint for a clean finish) * Install either a wall-mounted cat bed or suitable floating shelf Requirement: * Must safely support a cat jumping on/off * Level, secure, and neatly finished ⸻ 2. Towel Hook Panel Installation (Bathroom Door) The bathroom door is hollow-core and the panel is fairly heavy. Scope: * Assess whether the door can safely support the weight * Install using appropriate hollow-door fixings if viable * If not suitable, recommend and/or install an alternative solution such as: * Over-the-door hook system * Wall-mounted hooks * Lighter unit Requirement: * Secure, long-lasting installation * No damage to the door * Clean, аккуратный finish ⸻ General Requirements: * Professional assessment before installation * Strong, durable fixings appropriate to materials * Neat workmanship throughout * Advise if additional materials are required Items can be supplied. I need a skilled carpenter to repair a damaged timber door frame and hang a new solid oak fire door. The door is heavy (42kg), so I am looking for someone with the appropriate tools and experience. Scope of Work: 1. Remove and dispose of old door 2. Structural Frame Repair: The current timber jamb is badly splintered at the strike points as a result of a locksmith needing to use force to break in (see photos). Needs a professional repair so the frame is structurally sound again. 3. Door Hanging: Hang a new Victorian 4-Panel Oak FD30 Fire Door (2032mm x 813mm x 44mm). Trim as needed - the floor is uneven and will need some trimming particularly on the height of the door either side. The door has 20mm solid oak lippings to accommodate this. 4. Hardware Installation: - Install 3x Grade 13 hinges - Consolidate Locks: Remove three existing locks from the old setup. Re-install only ONE insurance-approved ERA BS3621 5-Lever Sashlock and its matching strike plate (pictured) into the repaired frame. - Install new lever handles (57mm centers). 5. Finishing: Ensure the 44mm door sits flush in the 46mm frame rebate. Patch/fill the old lock holes in the frame so it is ready for sanding/painting. Materials Provided: - Solid Oak Fire Door (42kg) - 2032mm x 813mm x 44mm - 3x Grade 13 Ball Bearing Hinges - Heritage Brass Lever Handles. - Existing ERA BS3621 Sashlock & Strike Plate (pictured) Tasker Requirements: - Must provide own professional tools - Must provide timber, professional wood glue etc for the frame repair. - Experience with heavy solid-core doors Photos: Please see attached for the current frame damage and the hardware being reused.

Hi! I'm hoping to find someone to: - Fix a bedroom door hinge: the door frame is somewhat crumbling, causing the hinge to come loose and the door to drag on the carpet (see photos). - Remove and dispose of an old satellite dish (unused) including cabling from the ground floor level of the house (see photos). We can provide a small step ladder if needed. Timing is flexible, there is plenty of free parking nearby. Thanks!
