The Issue: The large, top-hung sliding wooden door to our optometry room is jamming and will not slide closed properly. Staff must physically lift and force the door to get it to move along the track. The Job: The task is to diagnose and repair the sliding door mechanism to ensure it operates smoothly and effortlessly. The scope of work will involve: 1. Inspecting the top-hung track, rollers, and door alignment. 2. Identifying the root cause of the jamming (e.g., worn or broken rollers, a misaligned track, an issue with the door itself). 3. Carrying out the necessary repairs. This may include adjusting the track, replacing the rollers/trolleys, or making adjustments to the door. 4. Testing the door thoroughly to ensure it slides smoothly and easily from open to closed without needing to be lifted or forced. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts (e.g., new rollers, brackets). The cost for these materials must be included in your final offer.
