Looking for a reliable handyman/carpenter to complete two projects, ideally starting towards the end of September. I’m happy for the work to be completed in parts/stages rather than all at once. 1. Dressing Table / Work Desk Grey & gold theme — floating dressing table with some drawer storage, L-shaped work desk, wall panelling, large LED mirror, floating shelves, lighting and hidden cable management. 2. Simple Media Feature Wall Approx. 149cm wall with 50” TV — grey slat panelling, TV backboard, electric fireplace, a slim floating TV stand/unit, gold detailing, LED lighting and hidden cables. I do not want a full traditional built-in media wall. The pictures/AI mock-ups are for inspiration only. All measurements are rough estimates, so I’d prefer you to come and measure everything properly first and advise what will work. I’m looking for labour only and will happily purchase/provide all materials — just give me a clear list of everything you need me to buy, including any additional fixings/brackets etc. Please message me with your labour quote/estimated price, availability from the end of September, and examples of similar work if possible.

I need 2 new internal doors hung in existing door frames. The doors are already purchased and at the property. They are Wickes Geneva doors, 1981 × 762 × 35mm (see photos). Looking for someone experienced with door fitting/carpentry to: – Measure and trim/plane the doors as required – Fit hinges and hang both doors – Fit the handles/latches – Make sure both doors open and close properly without catching Please bring all tools needed for trimming/planing and fitting. We’ve recently moved into a flat and have two small repairs that need looking at: • Bedroom door is difficult to lock — the lock works, but the door seems to need to be pushed/pulled into the right position for it to lock, so it may just need adjusting/alignment. • One window won’t close properly and needs investigating/adjusting. Looking for someone experienced with door/window repairs who can diagnose and hopefully fix both in one visit. Budget is for labour and minor adjustments. Happy to pay separately for any replacement parts if required and agreed beforehand.

I’m looking for an experienced and reliable decorator/handyman to complete several jobs in my home. The work required: 🎨 Painting * Paint 2 bedrooms and the stairs/staircase area white * Paint will be supplied by me * Basic preparation/filling and a neat professional finish where required 📺 TV Feature Wall * Install the slat wall panelling behind the TV, similar to the style shown in the attached photo * Panelling is already purchased and supplied * TV is already wall-mounted, so care will need to be taken when installing the panels around it * I’m looking for a clean, precise and professional finish 💡 Lighting * Install the LED strip lighting around/behind the TV panelling * LED strip is already supplied * Replace/install a lamp/light shade, which is also already supplied * I have the necessary items already, so this is labour/installation only I’d ideally like one person who is experienced in all of the above and can complete the work to a high standard. Fit decorative plaster coving in bedroom I’m looking for someone experienced with plaster coving/cornice to fit decorative coving in one bedroom. I already have the coving supplied: 7 lengths at 2.5 m each (17.5 m total). It is ornate plaster coving, approximately 120 mm x 100 mm. The bedroom is an irregular shape with a small recessed section, rather than a standard rectangle. Approximate room dimensions are 3.84 m across the main top wall, 3.30 m along the bottom wall and around 2.56 m on the long right-hand section. Ceiling height is approximately 2.54 m. There are several internal corners and approximately one external corner. I need the coving professionally measured, cut/mitred, fitted securely, and the joints/corners filled and finished ready for painting. Coving is already supplied. Please quote for labour plus any adhesive/filler required. Ideally looking for someone who has fitted ornate plaster coving before.

Hi, I’m looking for an experienced and reliable plasterer/decorator to help refresh my bedroom into a minimalist style room. Photos of the room and ceiling have been attached so you can get a good idea of the space and the current condition. The work required: * Assess and prepare the existing ceiling, which has some visible uneven areas and cracking/patching * Skim/plaster the ceiling to achieve a smooth, clean and professional finish * Paint the bedroom to a high standard once the appropriate preparation and drying time has been allowed * Ensure the room is left clean and tidy after the work is completed Room preparation I may also need some help moving either the bed or wardrobe, or moving furniture as necessary to allow proper access for the work. Please let me know if you can assist with this and whether there would be any additional cost. I’m looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a good eye for detail. Quality and reliability are important to me, and I’m looking for a proper, professional finish rather than the cheapest or quickest option. My budget for this phase is approximately £400–£600. I also have further work planned for the room next month, including replacing the flooring and repositioning a wall-mounted TV, so there may be additional work available for the right person. Labour costs to remove old door frame and install 7 FD30 fire door frames, FD 30 doors, hinges and ironmongery to make HMO ready passing fire regulations (installed correctly with appropriate gaps) 5 of the new frames will need to be trimmed as I bought a larger size due to the wall being non standard size.
