Hello, We require an URGENT call-out from an experienced handyman, locksmith, or door specialist to fix two separate but related issues at our retail store, in Forest Hill Chase. The Job (2 Parts): 1. Repair Security Door Latch: -- Issue: The handle/latch on our main accordion-style security door has broken off, leaving a sharp, unsafe edge that staff must handle to open and close the store. -- Task: Supply and install a new, durable replacement handle/latch mechanism for the security door. 2. Repair Cupboard Door: -- Issue: The cupboard door that conceals the security door during the day will not stay closed. The magnetic catch that holds it shut has failed and fallen out. A previous repair was not strong enough. -- Task: Supply and install a new, stronger magnetic catch, ensuring it is securely bolted or screwed into the frame to hold the cupboard door firmly closed. Requirements: - MUST have proven experience with commercial door hardware, locks, and cabinetry. - You must supply all necessary replacement parts: a new security door latch and a new, heavy-duty magnetic catch. The cost for these materials must be included in your offer. - You must bring all your own tools, including drills and appropriate fixings. - Public liability insurance is required. Task in general: Hang and fit internal door (existing frame, door supplied – trimming required) Task description I need a qualified handyman/carpenter to install a new internal hinged door into an existing door frame. - Existing internal door frame opening: 855 mm (width) x 2030 mm (height). - Location: Altona Meadows, VIC - Time: Flexible, ideally within the next 1–2 weeks. Door and hardware: - New internal door will be supplied by me (not yet fitted to frame) - (or please specify if you prefer to supply). - Standard internal handle/lever set will be supplied by me (or please specify if you prefer to supply). - Hinges, screws and any other fixings needed will be supplied by me (or please specify if you prefer to supply). Scope of work (fixed price quote requested): - Attend site, confirm measurements and check frame is square and suitable. - Trim/plane door as needed to suit opening (855 x 2030 mm), including allowance for even gaps and floor clearance. - Cut in and chisel hinge rebates in door and frame if required, and supply and fit appropriate hinges. - Hang the door so it swings freely with even margins and latches correctly (no rubbing or binding). - Bore/cut holes for handle and latch, fit handle set and latch, and align striker plate in jamb. - Adjust as required so door closes smoothly and latch engages properly. - Leave the door ready for me to remove, seal and paint (i.e. all trimming done, no further planing required after painting). The door must still clear the frame and floor after painting. - Clean up work area and remove all off‑cuts from site. What to include in your offer: - Labour for complete installation (trimming, hanging, hinges, handle and latch fitting). - Cost of supply of any materials and/or any minor consumables. - Estimate of time on site. - Your experience with similar internal door hanging jobs and photos if available.

We have a garage at our rental property where the front wall has sustained damage from occasional contact with our SUV's front bumper. This has caused the skirting and gyprock/plasterboard to slowly detach from the underlying concrete wall, and on a small section there is a small section of the gyprock that is hanging by a thread formig a hole.
