Sand and refinish original floorboards – Victorian terrace Need original timber floorboards sanded and revarnished in a Victorian terrace house, covering: • Hallway • Front reception room • Rear reception room & one staircase Scope: full sanding to bare wood (removing old finish in the reception rooms and carpet in the hallway, surface scratches, and marks), gap filling where needed, and reapplication of varnish/lacquer finish. Floors are original pine boards, so please factor in possible nails, minor repairs, or uneven boards typical of a period property. Looking for a tradesperson experienced with Victorian/period floors. Happy to discuss finish type (e.g. clear varnish vs satin) and provide access for a site visit/quote beforehand.

Hi, I have a long, vertical water stain on my bedroom wall caused by a previous, historic leak from months ago (the leak has been fully resolved and the wall is completely dry now). There is NO mould, but there is some water staining/discolouration and slight paint peeling near the window frame. The job requires: 1: Properly scraping and sanding down all the peeling/flaking paint to ensure a perfectly smooth surface before priming. 2: Applying a stain block primer (e.g., Zinsser B-I-N or similar) to ensure the stain doesn't bleed through. 3: Repainting it with white emulsion paint. Please note that the final paint colour must be an exact match to the original wall colour (no patchy or mismatched whites). 4: The bedroom is fully carpeted, so you must bring proper dust sheets/protection and ensure no paint or debris stains the carpet. The work area must be left completely clean. Photos attached. Looking for someone to finish this as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hi, Is anyone available today to fit carpet on my stairs, 12 steps in total. I already have the grippers, underlay and carpet. As well as tools, such as knee gripper, carpet bolster, nail gun (although not sure if the nail gun is up to standard for the stairs).
