Hi, I’m looking for someone to install sheet vinyl flooring in my bedroom, which measures approximately 18 ft × 16 ft (5.49 m × 4.88 m). The existing carpet needs to be lifted and taken away for disposal, as I have nowhere to dispose of it myself. The new flooring is all-white, 2 mm thick cushioned-back sheet vinyl supplied on a roll, with a 0.20 mm wear layer and R10 slip resistance. Wardrobes will be installed along two walls before the flooring is fitted, so the vinyl will need to be carefully cut around them. There will also be a king-size ottoman bed in the centre of the room, which cannot be moved out or dismantled. The flooring will need to be fitted carefully around the bed. Please bring all the necessary tools and let me know whether adhesive or any other materials are required. Could you confirm your availability, total cost including carpet removal and disposal, and how long you expect the job to take? Thank you.

Staircase Painting & Stair Runner Installation We’re looking for an experienced tradesperson to prepare and paint our staircase white and install a centrally positioned carpet stair runner. The staircase has recently had MDF boards fitted over the existing treads to help reduce creaking (please see photos). Work required: * Prepare, prime and paint the staircase white, including the steps and risers, ensuring a smooth finish. * Fill and sand any visible gaps, screw holes and imperfections. * Supply advice on and install a carpet stair runner down the centre of the staircase, leaving the painted edges visible. * Advise on any additional preparation or adjustments needed before fitting the runner. Important consideration: As we’ve added MDF boards to the stair treads, the nosing (lip) of each step now has two different depths/profiles. We’re unsure how this will affect fitting a centrally positioned stair runner and would appreciate someone experienced who can advise on the best solution to achieve a neat, professional finish. Materials: We’re happy to purchase and supply all materials, including paint, primer, carpet runner and underlay. However, we haven’t bought anything yet, as we’d prefer to discuss what’s required and what the tradesperson is comfortable working with before purchasing. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can undertake both the painting and runner installation, or advise if these need to be completed separately.
