Job: repair cut external cable feeding kitchen sockets Terraced house, rear elevation. Three cables were surface-run up the outside wall at first-floor level, next to the satellite dish. I cut all three believing they were redundant aerial/satellite leads. Two appear to be coax; one was clearly live — several kitchen sockets on the ground floor stopped working immediately. Cabling was installed around 10 years ago as part of a rear extension. Need: identify and reinstate the supply, make good in a suitable weatherproof enclosure or re-run the cable appropriately, and test (continuity, IR, earth loop) with a Minor Works Certificate on completion. Also happy to hear whether that run should be external at all. Access from bedroom window.

I need an experienced electrician/light fitting installer to remove 2 existing ceiling light fittings and install 2 new 6-light chandeliers. The photos show the 2 existing fittings that need to be removed. The job includes: - Safely remove and disconnect the 2 existing ceiling fittings. - Assemble both new chandeliers. - Securely install and wire both chandeliers using the existing electrical connections. - Adjust the hanging height as required. - Install all 6 bulbs in each chandelier. - Test both lights and switches to ensure everything works correctly. - Remove the old fittings and clean up afterwards. Please bring all necessary tools, screws, fixings and suitable ceiling anchors required for a secure installation. I am looking for someone experienced with electrical ceiling light/chandelier installations, as the new fittings need to be properly wired and securely supported. Both chandeliers are identical and will be installed in the same locations as the existing lights shown in the photos. Please quote for the complete job for both lights, including removal, assembly, installation, wiring, adjustment and fitting the bulbs. The chandeliers are already purchased and the bulbs are supplied. I only need the installation work.

Two lights need attention 1/ Wall Light is working but wiring to the unit needs attention. Not sure what's wrong. It's quite high up above a stair case, so needs a ladder. 2/ Ceiling light. Check it works and replace bulb (I can supply) . I haven't had a bulb in it for some years.
