Hi, I have a few small electrical jobs that need doing at my home in E15, Stratford. Fix 3 small kitchen under-cupboard lights that are dim or not working properly. Investigate and fix a hallway light that isn't working. Disconnect an old doorbell. Fit a new battery-operated Ring doorbell and wedge (no wiring required). Replace 5 single light switch faceplates. Replace 2 double light switch faceplates. Replace 2 two-gang socket faceplates. Optional additional job: If you're also handy with general DIY, I need 2 hammock brackets securely fitted to an external brick garden wall. I'll supply all replacement faceplates, the Ring doorbell, wedge, brackets and fixings. I'm looking for someone experienced and suitably qualified to carry out the electrical work safely. I'd prefer a fixed price for the complete job rather than an hourly rate, so please provide your best all-inclusive quote for the work listed, including labour and any call-out charges. Ideally, I'd like everything completed in one visit. Please quote separately for the optional hammock bracket installation. Thanks!

Electrician needed – relocate sockets/switches and reroute hanging cables Looking for an electrician for my flat in Hackney. A wall has been removed, leaving the cables for its switches and sockets hanging from the ceiling. I need these safely rerouted and secured, with the switches and sockets fitted in new locations and the completed work tested.

I’m looking for someone experienced with LED strip lighting and neat low voltage installation to fit two lighting systems in a bar in Peckham. 1. Back bar: approximately 9.5m of warm white COB LED strip installed across wooden spirit shelving in aluminium profiles with diffusers. The strip will need to be cut into sections, connected neatly around the shelving and uprights, and all cabling hidden as much as possible. 2. Ceiling perimeter: approximately 21m of warm white COB LED strip installed around the perimeter of the ceiling in aluminium profiles with diffusers to create a soft indirect glow. I have not bought the equipment yet. I would like the installer to confirm exactly what LED strip, drivers, dimmers, aluminium profiles, cabling and connectors they recommend before I purchase everything. The intention is to use 24V plug in power supplies from existing sockets, with separate dimming for the back bar and ceiling. Please only apply if you have previous experience installing LED strip lighting, aluminium LED profiles and low voltage wiring. A very neat finish and hidden cabling are important. Please include examples or photos of similar LED work if possible.

Renovating a walk in wardrobe and would like to install some LED lights (lights have not been bough yet - looking at low voltage spot lights in warm white 3000K but keen to hear different options). There’s no sockets around, only the electrical box unit for the house so will have to work around it. Also ideally the lights will be automatic (door sensor). Inside is still empty, raw plaster and the edges are in wood so it’s easier to work around the area On the same box is connected the doorbell, which hasn’t worked for over a year and never touched so we need someone to take a look and diagnose eventually.

Hi, I’m looking for a qualified electrician to inspect and test my existing outdoor electrical installation. The installation was carried out around 2015 and includes: 3 outdoor sockets 3 fridges on my balcony Wiring taken from a bedroom socket and routed outside Cables protected in conduit Junction box connections A shed light A floodlight A 5A fuse I would like the electrician to check the condition and safety of the whole installation, including the cables, conduit, junction boxes, earthing, RCD protection, connections and whether everything is suitable for the outdoor fridges and other equipment. I’m particularly concerned about electrical safety and potential fire risks, so I would like a proper inspection and testing and advice on whether anything needs upgrading or replacing. Please let me know the cost for the inspection and whether you can provide a written report/EICR if appropriate. Thank you.
