Install tado smart heating (2 thermostats) + small plumbing fixes – Lee, SE12 Description: I’m upgrading to tado X smart heating in a 4-bed end-terrace house in Lee, London SE12, and need a qualified heating engineer or electrician to install it. I’ll supply the tado hardware. My current setup: Gas boiler in the loft. A wireless Horstmann thermostat for the radiators upstairs. Its transmitter is dead, and its receiver is wired to the boiler on the second floor. Wet underfloor heating on the ground floor, with its own manifold, Grundfos pump and mixing valve, controlled by a wired Heatmiser thermostat that only switches the pump. The underfloor heating can’t fire the boiler on its own; it only works when the upstairs heating is on. What I need done: Replace the Horstmann receiver with a tado Wireless Receiver X, wired to the boiler, and set up the tado Wireless Smart Thermostat X. Replace the wired Heatmiser with a tado Wired Smart Thermostat X to control the underfloor pump. Please confirm it can switch the pump directly, or fit a relay if needed. Set things up so the ground-floor underfloor heating can call the boiler independently through the tado system. Advise whether a zone valve is needed on the underfloor flow, and fit one if so (please quote separately). Inspect and reseal some weeping joints on the underfloor manifold. There’s green corrosion around the isolating valves and mixing valve. Quick check that the radiator valves (7 radiators) will accept tado smart radiator heads, which I’ll fit myself later.
