I have a Synology NAS that I’ve set up myself it’s running well and includes multiple configurations such as website hosting, OpenVPN for remote access, SMB file sharing, and other connected services. Everything was working perfectly until I recently changed internet providers and received a new static IP. Since then, things haven’t been functioning as before, and I need someone experienced with Synology, networking, and security to help review and fix the setup. The main goal is to make sure the entire system is properly secured and configured. I had to open and forward several ports for VPN, SMB, and web hosting, so I’d like a full security check on both the NAS and the network (router and firewall settings). Tasks include verifying the DSM configuration, Web Station setup, SMB, OpenVPN access, firewall rules, and existing port forwarding — ensuring that everything is optimised, secure, and functional under the new static IP. Looking for someone experienced with Synology NAS, DSM, OpenVPN, and network security who can attend onsite, inspect the configuration, and make the necessary adjustments for improved stability, access, and protection.
